Although it might not be everybody’s first choice as a holiday destination, with ome having never even heard of Liechtenstein, this idyllic little country is becoming more and more recognised by holiday makers around the world, many of whom are intrigued by this most minute of European countries.

Liechtenstein itself is the only country in the Alps to lie entirely within the Alpine region. It is completely landlocked by neighbouring Switzerland and Austria and is in fact the only German speaking country in the world not to lie on one of Germany’s border.

The country has a population of just 35,000 people, which is smaller than most small towns you would find in surrounding Europe. That said, however, the country has a thriving economy and a great standard of living. It is home to diverse range of industries as well as host to many corporations, both domestically and foreign owned, with its status as a tax haven.

Gamprin is right on the northwest corner of Liechtenstein, about a mile south of Ruggel and four miles north of Schaan, and with car rental at Gamprin, you can easily gain access to Switzerland to the west or Austria to the east. Car hire at Gamprin is highly recommended if you want to get around the area and with cheap car hire at Gamprin it need not cost you much.
